But while the setting has changed, the dignity of justice must remain untouched. Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has made this clear through <strong data-start=\"462\" data-end=\"483\">Order No. 36\/2022<\/strong>, emphasizing that <strong data-start=\"502\" data-end=\"574\">respect and discipline must prevail during online complaint hearings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"577\" data-end=\"1048\">During the COVID-19 pandemic, MahaRERA took a progressive step by shifting its hearings online, as outlined in <strong data-start=\"688\" data-end=\"709\">Order No. 23\/2021<\/strong>. This move ensured uninterrupted redressal of grievances, even during lockdowns. These behaviors, though seemingly minor, risk the <strong data-start=\"1287\" data-end=\"1323\">sanctity of the judicial process<\/strong>, even in a digital format.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1352\" data-end=\"1803\">In response, MahaRERA laid down <strong data-start=\"1384\" data-end=\"1409\">five clear directives<\/strong> to ensure that online hearings reflect the same respect as physical courtrooms. Firstly, participants must maintain <strong data-start=\"1526\" data-end=\"1549\">a proper dress code<\/strong>, stay away from distractions like food or mobile usage, and behave with appropriate courtroom etiquette. Secondly, no participant is to speak unless specifically invited by the Authority. Fourth, punctuality is mandatory. Arriving on time, avoiding cross-talk, and never directly addressing the opposing party ensures that hearings remain smooth and professional. Finally, MahaRERA warns that <strong data-start=\"2188\" data-end=\"2250\">any violation of these directions may invite strict action<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2253\" data-end=\"2537\">This order has been made <strong data-start=\"2278\" data-end=\"2303\">effective immediately<\/strong>, and it applies to <strong data-start=\"2323\" data-end=\"2357\">all categories of participants<\/strong> involved in MahaRERA hearings.
