Knowing these not only strengthens community living but also prevents disputes and mismanagement within the society.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"654\" data-end=\"704\"><strong data-start=\"658\" data-end=\"704\">\u00a0Right to Participate in Society Affairs<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"705\" data-end=\"1073\">Every member has the <strong data-start=\"726\" data-end=\"774\">right to attend General Body Meetings (GBMs)<\/strong> and actively participate in discussions and decision-making. Members can vote, raise queries, and express their opinions on important issues such as budgets, repairs, elections, and redevelopment. This democratic participation ensures transparency and accountability in the society\u2019s functioning.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1075\" data-end=\"1125\"><strong data-start=\"1079\" data-end=\"1125\">Right to Access Information and Records<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1126\" data-end=\"1512\">Members have the <strong data-start=\"1143\" data-end=\"1178\">right to access society records<\/strong>, including financial statements, meeting minutes, and audit reports. The Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act mandates that societies maintain transparency by allowing members to inspect records upon request.
